Q: Why are there no score lines on many of the driver heads you sell?

A: The Vacuum Forging process that is used on these heads, afforded SMT the option of making the face as thin as possible, while still maintaining the structural integrity to stand up to the rigors of driving a golf ball. If SMT were to put score lines in the face, it would be similar to "scoring" a bathroom tile..... that is where it would break apart.
The lack of face marking, actually reduces the spin of the ball by 1%, truly making these clubs more accurate as well as allowing the ball to "hit the ground running" for increased distance.

In 2005 several other companies have copied SMT's breakthrough concept & removed all scorelines from their drivers. If ya can't beat em....

Q: Are these clubs & equipment for "long drivers" only?

A: Definitely not! Although we are our proud of our association with Longdrivers of Australasia & built the driver used in the National Championship by current Australian #2 James McDonald, Long Drive Golf set upon this venture to provide a range of products to assist the general golfer in achieving maximum driving potential. " Long drivers" are just a group of folks who need very high quality standards for their sport, and just so happen to have found what they need in the products we supply.

Q: Are the faces of the SMT heads thicker because the Pro's use them?

A: Actually, just the opposite. The SMT line of heads has the thinnest, most responsive faces in the industry. Each head has the ultimate in spring face technology allowable under the rules of golf. The faces of our heads are actually quite a bit thinner than many of the biggest OEM company names that you are used to seeing.
